After many years of teaching to support her practice, Rachel has finely decided to commit full time to her art. Inspired by her home in Devon and Asian travels, with a strength in observational work, She has recently progressed in to abstraction. The culture and environment of China, Vietnam, and Cambodia are her starting point for this departure from figurative work; her work now investigates more the atmosphere than the detail, more the essence than the object. With more travels planned, Rachel has recently moved back to Devon and is now working locally.
Educated at Winchester School of Art, Cardiff School of Art, and Westminster College Oxford.
